Air Quality

This morning, on my run, my thoughts kept returning to a paragraph I read in The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America A historical novel (apparently fairly accurate) about the evolution of The World's Fair in Chicago -> 1893.

"A miasma of cinder-flecked smoke blackened its streets and at times reduced visibility to the distance of a single block..."
- Erick Larson

I suspect running through the streets of Chicago at that time would have been ill-advised.
Thankfully I have fairly clean air to run with. This morning, in Eugene, the PM was only 2.5

PM = particular matter...solid and liquid droplets found in the air.
