"How do you rest and recover from your runs?"
My panacea – Run every other day! I seldom run back to back now.
(I used to in the old days, when runners were not even allowed to stop at red lights. You had to jog in place.)
I intermingle run days with no run days. And on most of my off days - I cross train - gym, power walks, bike. It keeps me fresh.
I actually look forward to my run days!
